Spokane has been home for as long as I can remember. This is the greatest community with the most awesome people in the world. My best friends are my 20 year old son Michael and my 18 year old daughter Sarah. Oh, I can't forget my dog Libby. A black lab mix I take everywhere and hangs out with me in the KISC studio every weekend.
Hosting the Super 70s and Flashback Saturday Night shows has been a highlight for me each week. It's an an honor that you bring me into you life every Saturday night with music that brings back a memory, puts a smile on your face or maybe even gets you showing off an old dance move with a loved one.
A friend took her 3 year old to see Santa last night...twice. The first time ended with panic and tears. This little guy wanted a second chance and was bound and determined to actually talk to Santa. So he and his mother practiced a bit before the second Santa encounter. She asked him "What do you want for Christmas?"...His reply "Christmas presents". After a few practice runs he decided he would ask for a train. He approaches Santa and before Santa can say anything, this little guy blurts out "train". He finally got his picture taken with Santa and all was good for this little 3 year old. Before the night was over he asked his mommy "Is Christmas over?".
Miss you John

Thirty years ago today, December 8, 1980 we lost John Lennon. A lot of us found out of his death from Howard Cosell on Monday Night Football.

Recently my life was blessed with a very special lady, Tracey. She has two wonderful children, 17 year old JD and 8 year old Tia, oh and can't forget the cute puppy, Nala. JD's girlfriend Kylee is a part of this blessing too. I am so lucky to have them in my life and for them to accept me into theirs.
JD, Tia and Kylee already have the tree up and decorated, the stockings hanging from the fireplace and the rest of the holiday decorations in their special place. The puppy wasted no time to run circles around the base of the tree to get tangled in the power chord to the lights and almost brought the tree down, but brought laughs to all.
I love seeing Christmas through the eyes of kids. Thank you JD, Tia and Kylee for your smiles, laughter and joy...you're amazing!!!
